Intro to Tunisian Crochet
This beginner-friendly workshop is designed for crocheters who are new to Tunisian crochet. Students will learn the fundamentals of the craft, including how to cast on, work the Tunisian Simple Stitch (TSS), and complete the forward and return pass. Along the way, we'll cover essential techniques such as maintaining even tension, identifying stitches, and binding off.
By the end of the workshop, students will have a strong foundation in Tunisian crochet and the confidence to continue practicing the technique and move on to beginner-friendly projects.

Class Fee: $60
Homework: None. Basic crochet experience is recommended, including familiarity with holding a crochet hook and working basic crochet stitches. No prior Tunisian crochet experience is required.

6.0 mm Tunisian crochet hook (with cable if preferred)
DK weight yarn (1 skein in a light or medium solid color is recommended)

Instructor: Amanda Decker
 
Instructor Bio: Amanda has taught Tunisian crochet at The Knitting Lounge in Simi Valley for the past two years and recently at the Altered Stitch where she includes beginner-friendly introductory classes, and project-based classes featuring garments and accessories.
She leads a monthly Tunisian Crochet Club, designing and writing original blanket square patterns. The club is structured to help participants progressively build their skills by learning new Tunisian crochet techniques while creating a cohesive sampler blanket.
